Renovation of an old stone house.
Maybe only this. The place is emptied, the perimeters left as they are : the stone walls, the old wooden floor, the joists of the old plaster lath, the framework of the bathroom. By installing two very small bedrooms on the street side, a large space is created on the garden side. By installing two large sliding doors, a new perception of space emerges.
A passage. Light and shade suggest the relationship between street and garden. A carpenter intervenes. He installs the partitions, crafts the doors, assembles the kitchen with his carpenter's tools : framing lumber and rough lumber. There's also a lot of self-construction.
Emptiness is everything. Text description by the architects
